We’re Cory and Lori – and this house is our home away from home, not a spreadsheet. We bought this place because we wanted somewhere our own family could actually unwind, and we built it out the way we wished more rentals were built: ready for real life, not just ready for photos – with plenty of room for the grandparents too
We know exactly how much of a pain it is to travel with kids and hectic schedules. We’ve got five boys; which means packing lists, forgotten swim diapers, someone always hungry, and a level of chaos most families will recognize on sight. So we set this place up the way we’d want to walk into ourselves: pack your people and your clothes, and we’ve got the rest. Forgotten toiletry, need a hair tie, or something more personal? Check the basket before you panic – we’ve probably got you covered.
That same philosophy runs through the whole house. The fishing gear, the office drawer, the charging station with backup cables – it’s all there on the honor system, because we’d rather trust you than lock everything down like you’re a stranger in a hotel. If something breaks or runs out while you’re here, just tell us. Good or bad, we want to know – that’s how we get better for the next family walking through the door. If it’s something small, that’s just part of doing business. If it’s something bigger, we’ll talk it through with you directly, no surprise charges, no fine print designed to catch you off guard.
Before any of this, Cory spent time in the Marine Corps, including a combat deployment overseas. That kind of experience has a way of teaching you what actually matters – attention to detail, taking care of the people in front of you, and not cutting corners when it counts. We run this property with that same mindset. If something’s broken, we fix it. It’s our name on it, and we treat it that way.
